*****
A van breaks down on the side of a secluded road. Three occupants cautiously get out. Adam and Christian are two men in their late 20s, dressed in clean blue shirts and slacks. Christine, Christian's teenage sister is with them. She is also dressed in very conservative attire. Adam opens the van's hood and is upset. He is about to scream but Christian places his arm on his shoulder and keeps him calm. Together, they begin to walk along a coral wall until they come across an old church made of coral stone. The two men exchange a glance and quickly approach the cathedral's doors. They knock a few times. No one answers. Adam sees the pastor's house in the distance and motions for his friends to follow him while he quickens his pace.
Moment later they are all at the front door. They knock but no one answers. Adam turns the door handle. The door is open. Adam looks at his friends, shrugs his shoulders and begins to enter.
Christian quickly says, Adam, no.
Adam scrunches his forehead and replies, If the pastor is here, he won't mind. Our van's broken. We need his help.
Christian turns to his sister and they exchange concerned glances. They follow Adam through an external corridor and then come upon another door, which Adam promptly opens. The three Christians cautiously enter. They are in a haunting hallway. The walls are made of coral rock. Adam tries two doors, but they are locked. He tries another that leads to a Bathroom and another that leads to a Library. He is about to turn back when he hears Music radiating from upstairs. Adam looks at his friends and he quickly ascends the stairs. Christian and Christine obediently follow.
They descend a flight of steps and then they are on a small landing in an upstairs hallway. Adam knocks on the door and the three Christians wait patiently for someone to answer. A moment later Jacob, a 28-year-old man answers the door. He is dressed in a purple minister's gown.
Jacob has a concerned tone in his voice when he asks, May I help you?
Christian steps forward. We're sorry. We knocked on the door downstairs and no one answered and ...
That's fine. May I help you?
Jacob asks.
Adam is about to speak, but Christian begins, We're sorry. Our van broke down and we thought this was the pastor's house and -- is the pastor in?
Actually, I am brother Jacob. I am in a counseling session right now with some local ladies ... who have fallen from god.
Christian turns to Adam in amazement. We're sorry to interrupt,
he quickly says.
Not at all. In fact, perhaps you can help me. Would you like to come in? I could use your help.
Christian turns and looks at Adam. We would be honored.
Jacob opens the door wider and the three Christians enter. Jacob has a sinister smirk on his face as he closes the door behind them.
Jacob leads Adam, Christian and Christine into a large room that resembles a SoHo Apartment more than a respectable church. On the east end of the room is a large dining room table. There are three women seated at the table. They are Abbey, Belle and Fae, all pretty women in their mid-twenties. Belle is stroking Abbey's short hair. Candles are burning. Music is playing.
Jacob motions to the ladies to acknowledge the visitors.
Ladies, these strangers need our assistance. Their van broke down. I told them about our spiritual session, as I try to bring you back to the light of god, and they have kindly offered to assist me.
Jacob then turns to the three strangers and says, Please, join us. We're actually eating dinner which makes out session much more casual.
Adam, Christian and Christine join the ladies at the table. Seconds later, Jacob sits down right next to Adam.
Is this the Pastor's house?
Christian asks.
Jacob answers, There's no Pastor here. This isn't a church.
anymore.
The Christians are confused.
