- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I read the book called “Moving Day (Katie Woo) by Fran Manushkin and illustrated by Tammie Lyon. It is a book that for its illustrations and colors would appeal more to girls then boys. It is divided in three chapters what makes the book easy to read by early readers. It also has a glossary, questions and a fun project to be done at the end. The story is about a girl called Katie Woo whose family is moving to a new house. In the beginning, Katie thinks that she will hate the new house and will mis a lot her old bedroom. However, after the family settle down in the new home, Katie realized how nice it is and how happy she will be in this new place. I believe it is a very nice book, specially for teachers who work on schools with a higher rate of migrated students. I can see myself using this book in my future classrrom.
