About this ebook
In 1859, Fred Lillywhite accompanied the twelve top cricketers of the day to Canada and the USA. It was a turning point in the history of the sport – the first overseas cricket tour by an English side.
Lillywhite’s account of the trip means that this crucial moment is recorded in detail, from the progress of the matches on the cricket field to the players’ activities off it.
This is the original tour diary – and still one of the best.
