    Introduction

    At 14 years old my mother handed me her checkbook and said start paying the bills. After getting it all organized and saw she was paying minimum payments are her debt I thought, why? She has extra money, why doesn’t she just pay more and get these debts paid off? So that is what I did. I started making bigger payments and started paying them off.

    I have had my own trial and errors in my personal life with finances amongst many other things. At 19 I had to file bankruptcy.

    At 26 I was offered a job for a company doing accounting and as long as I worked for the company they would pay back my student loans. I did that and after about 2 years I was laid off. So I was on my own with student loans but I did get my accounting degree.
