What is Friendship Gardens?
At Friendship Gardens, we believe everyone should have access to fresh, healthy food and the knowledge to grow it themselves.
Founded in 2010, Friendship Gardens grows healthy food, making it available to all, especially to those with limited access; creates community around local food traditions; and shares knowledge and passion for sustainable food production.
Our vibrant network of gardens provides healthy food those in need, delivers training and support for gardeners in Charlotte, and creates valuable community around the local food movement. For more information about Friendship Gardens visit our website www.friendship-gardens.org and read the ‘The Story of Friendship Gardens’ chapter of this book.
