Kate Morr And The Mystery Of The Emerald Jewel - Daniel Edwards
"The Eye of Solomon
The Staff of Pharaoh
The two together all slaves of the master come forth forever"
It's starting again; the images are coming more frequently every day. I have got to focus and learn to control them
Kate exclaimed as she squeezed the simulator helmet off her head.
Kate pushed the speaker button inside the simulator hey Jonathan, I need a break, I keep getting the same images over and over.
I think there is something wrong with the input feed.
Jonathan's voice crackled through the speaker Kate, there is nothing wrong with the input feed you're just not focusing.
Focus! Pocus!
Kate yelled back.
Jonathan where is David?
Kate sighed.
You know Kate, David wasn't real, he was just part of the simulation input.
Kate glared at Jonathan and just shook her head. He has to be real, David was here working with us.
Jonathan looked away and then turned to Kate. Kate you realize what we are doing here? When you're in the simulator we are tapping into your brain's electrical impulses. The input feed is sending a video feed of items that we feel will in a way seed your visionary powers. So what you see is a combination of artificial and true vision. Your visions give us the insight we need to learn about past and future events.
Abruptly Jonathan turned and walked quickly back to the control center. Oh, by the way, Mr. Chedrick wants to see you right away.
Jonathan shouted over his shoulder.
Kate was left standing alone in the cold quiet simulator room. The gleaming shell of the billion-dollar vision simulator developed by Symcor reminded Kate of an oversize egg. And I am the yoke
Kate mumbled to herself as she pulled off the sleek Kevlar simulator suit. I wonder what Chedrick wants? Well, no time like the present, let’s go see the man!
William Chedrick was founder and CEO of Symcor, at 58 a man of average height but with a lean muscular build and strong jaw. Chedrick’s early years as a brilliant scientist were overshadowed by his dominating business presence and his forward vision. Chedrick had pushed Symcor into the top 10 corporations in the world making billions in profits every year. Chedrick’s mission for Symcor has always been to use science to develop and produce cutting edge technology in robotics, weapons, and genetics. A fiercely independent man, Chedrick started Symcor with the help of only one other man. Graham Morr, Kate’s father.
Kate leaned into the eye scanner outside of Chedrick’s office. I always feel like I’m going to the eye doctor,
Kate mumbled as the security eye scan beeped and the door to Chedrick’s office slid open.
Kate stepped in and was immediately greeted by a soft warm voice.
Hello Kate it’s always so good to see you.
