Paweł Pollak - wrocławianin, absolwent filologii szwedzkiej Uniwersytetu Adama Mickiewicza w Poznaniu, tłumacz literatury szwedzkiej, opublikował piętnaście przekładów, w tym powieści Hjalmara Söderberga i Johanny Nilsson. Od tłumaczenia przeszedł do pisania, zadebiutował w 2006 roku kryminałem psychologicznym pt. „Kanalia”, trzy lata później wydał powieść obyczajową „Niepełni” (wyd. Prószyński), by wrócić do tematyki kryminalno-sądowniczej w opowiadaniach pt. „Między prawem a sprawiedliwością” (wyd. Branta, 2010). Paweł Pollak – a Polish writer and translator of Swedish literature. He has translated 15 books from Swedish, including the novels by Hjalmar Söderberg und Liza Marklund. His own works are: the crime novel “The Skunk” (2006), a love story between a paralyzed woman and a blind man, “The Incompleted” (2009) and the crime stories “Between Law and Justice” (2010). These stories, like “Black Widow”, are set in New York City and their plot is based on the television series “Law & Order”. Paweł Pollak – polnischer Schriftsteller und Übersetzer der schwedischen Literatur. Er hat 15 schwedische Romane übersetzt, einschließlich der von Hjalmar Söderberg und Håkan Nesser. Seine eigenen Werke sind: der Kriminalroman »Kanaille« (2006), der Liebesroman »Die Unvollständigen« (2009), der über eine Liebe zwischen einer Rollstuhlfahrerin und einem Blinden erzählt, und die Kriminalerzählungen »Zwischen Recht und Gerechtigkeit« (2010), deren Handlung – wie die von »Der schwarzen Witwe« - in New York spielt und auf der Fernsehserie »Law & Order« basiert.
