    Silent War - Haley Morrow

    damages.

    Dedication

I would like to dedicate this book to everyone who has had something bad happen in their life, something they had to fight, face, or overcome. Pain is not always visible, and that is what inspired me to call this book Silent War. In honor of everyone who has fought a silent battle that others could not see, in honor of those who couldn’t find a way up, and in honor of those still fighting. Always know you are not alone. As the angels look over us from above and the souls on earth hold your hand through the pain, never give up.

    A Painful Goodbye

As I walk along the path

    My head hung down low

As the cold air smacks me in the face

    I keep walking slowly.

My mind full of mixed emotions,

All I can think about is you,

Your smile, your laugh, your eyes

As a tear whispers down my face

I don’t think I am strong enough to say goodbye.

As I near the end of the path

    Tears fill my eyes

I stare lovingly at your picture,

Lost in your eyes once more.

Your smile I remember so well

As I lay a dozen red roses on your coffin,

    I say a dozen prayers

Remembering our vowels from years ago.

My love for you always never ending

As I treasure the memories of us

For the rest of my life,

    I love you my angel.

    Hate and Tears

As the noise around me grows

    I wrap my arms
