- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5There are three reasons why I like this book. The first reason is the illustrations. The child that decides to read this book with their parent can see exact examples of what it takes to be a good sister. Such as: cleaning up toys that are inappropriate for the new-born, washing and scrubbing dirty hands before touching the baby or the baby's toys, and playing a special role in the baby's life positively. All these examples are represented with pictures so that the child could see what it takes to be a good sister. The second reason why I like this book is because of the characters. They are very much believable, a mother and a young girl who is about to become a sister can relate easily to this story. For example, when the mother says, "Amanda, put your hand right here on my belly". Amanda responds back by saying, "What is that"? surprisingly. The last reason why I like this book is the CD included inside. The delightful musical CD adds to vibe of the story. Enhancing the message of the story. "The purpose of this book is to support young children in understanding their new role as an older sibling. As the structure of the family changes, it it extremely important for the older child to realize her very essential role".
