      I couldn’t be more blessed and honored than to be chosen to write the Foreword for a book that is full of poetical inspiration and information that will transform you from ‘Pain’ into witnessing God’s ‘Power’. This book allows you to confront your ‘its’ so you can conquer them with the assistance of the Lord, Jesus Christ. Darkness can turn into Deliverance as well as Hurts into Healing. You can recover, YES YOU CAN!

      This upcoming ‘scribe’, Shaquanda Stephenson, dares to become transparent so that others can take back their clearance. Everyone has a right to move from bondage into freedom. Our past shouldn’t dismiss our future. The Word of God promises that Our Latter Shall Be Greater.

      I salute this Woman of God, Shaquanda, for revealing her tests and sharing these testimonies. She is learning to change the world one person at a time. Believers and Non-Believers have a choice to move from trauma into triumph. No more brokenness! We have overcoming power.

      Beloved, we can’t afford to allow our scars to forfeit our God-given jobs. We must be able to see that things that are declared a ‘mess’ can still be used as the ingredient to birth ‘miracles’. God is still in the business of using natural vessels to perform and execute supernatural victories.

      It’s poetry like Speak Lord that provokes our atmosphere that one word from the Lord can make the crooked path straight, exalt our valley and command our high places to be made low. Just one word can move you from ‘coach’ to ‘first class’. Let this poetry book thrust you out of fears into favor.

      God has favored His Daughter, ‘lov1978’ to encourage the hearts of people to take the limits off and just ‘Let Go & Let God’!

      This book will be a blessing to anyone seeking to exit from the old and enter into the new. If you’re ready for a release, then I double dare you to ‘get your read on’ and embrace these intimate poems that will push you into wholeness.

      Introduction

      While writing this book, I kept thinking to myself…wow this is some sad stuff. I don’t want people to feel sorry for me and say that I have been through a lot…there is someone out there that has been through much more than I have. This is the path that I had to travel. I am forever grateful for this path because it has made me who I am today. Besides, if you have never been through anything, how can you tell somebody something?

      In Job 5:18 it says:

      For He maketh sore, and bindeth up: He woundeth, and His hands maketh whole

      That lets me know that God himself has allowed everything that I have been though in life thus far. Moreover, I trust that if He brought me through those things, He can bring you through too. Every trial, bumpy road, dead end, and ailment was designed to make me whole without a crack.

      For a long time, this poetry sat in books, on scraps of paper, backs of envelopes, and squares of tissue. Every now and again, I would read it or show it to someone that I thought might like and appreciate it. Long story short, one day I began to question God. What’s my Kung Fu? Kung-Fu means what is my talent, what is it that I would do for absolutely nothing? Everybody around me had their talent, what was mine? It always came back to writing. One day while reading my poetry, something dawned on me…these poems reflect my childhood struggles, my pains; my confusion… all that I had been through was in those pages. Each poem represents a part of my testimony. But look at me now, I may not be 100% whole or perfect, but I am most certainly not in the state I was in when those poems were written! It became incumbent upon me to write this book, put these words to good use and couple them with the Word of God. After each poem, you will find scripture that helped me get through. We don’t have to die in our current conditions. Father has a remedy!

      As these pages came to life, my memory had to be jogged on several occasions. I guess that is why it took me so long to complete this first project.

      We all have coping mechanisms that we use as children to deal with harsh realities. Some of us drink or use drugs. Others become destructive and deviant. Me, I became forgetful.

      There are those that cope with things by not dealing with them at all. Even as an adult, in many ways, it is still my way to deal with harsh or unpleasant things. The cycle is hard to break because I was doing it unknowingly for years. So many of our behaviors come from childhood experiences that we don’t remember or had no idea would have such a profound effect on our adult life.

      On some stuff, I had to keep going back. Read, reread and remember. Go back, read, reread and remember. To my surprise there weren’t as many emotional moments in writing this as expected, but the attack on my emotional state was still tremendous. Sometimes we question where we are at and if what we are doing is correct or according to the word and will of God. Understand that He makes no mistakes. Sometimes the adversities that we face while completing projects is not a sign to give up, but instead a clear indication that you are on the right path to helping just 1 person! Just 1 person? Yes!!!! When I was a kid, I ALWAYS wanted to save the world. When I became an adult, I found out 2 things…

      1. We can save the world 1 person at a time!

      2. Satan will come and attack anything you do for God. If what you are about to do will help just 1 person get TRULY set-free, healed, delivered, filled with the Holy Spirit and Living a holy and acceptable life with all
