We all strive to ensure that our cooking tastes good either for ourselves or for our loved ones. I know that this is especially true for me. I cook every evening for my husband and I and if it doesn't taste good then I feel that I may have let him down with dinner. Of course we both have certain diets that we have to maintain because of health issues which have caused both of us to give up certain foods. As to keep from tempting one another but we do it because we love each other, which brings me to this wonderful book that I found.
I love to cook and even figure out my own recipes, some turn out good and some not so good. I have always wanted to take a cooking class; well this was the next best thing to it and it cost me less money. I love crepes and now I know how to cook them at home. This book gave me some of my favorite recipes and told me how to cook them and not only that; it explained what certain words meant for certain cuts like julienne which some people may know.
I have always wondered how chefs can run through chopping and not cut off a finger this book also gave me that trick! No more cuts for me!!!! Well at least a smaller amount anyway. I believe that my husband will definitely see a marked improvement in my cooking which no doubt he will love.

CLOSING

OPENING

Yes, we're open! Please come on in.

Greetings, we would like to welcome you to Excel Cooking.

Now this might not be what you expect like most cookbooks out there because (naturally) there is no way we can cover every dish under the sun.

Our approach is not to overwhelm you with choices, but rather give you the finest options available to choose from to get your feet wet. Don't be surprised if they're not the most common food items that you think of since we're going for a more authentic route.

These recipes were specifically chosen for a reason to give you real hands-on experience.

Each cuisine requires different cooking techniques and method, and the goal is for you to build that foundation to the point where you can customize and tweak the selections however you like for more intricate fancy dishes.

More importantly, rather than simply know how to cook, it's about understanding the cultural practice and the handling of the food itself to really excel in this particular area of cooking.

We recommend that you at least attempt all the dishes (if you can).
