About this ebook

Life is going to break you at some point in time, Multiple points even. That tends to do damage to one's self esteem levels. Another fact about life is that there are sheep and there are shepherds. The sheep tend to have no guidance or direction. They need to be led, and in most situations, just exist to service the needs of the shepherd. Humans aren’t that much different, we subconsciously yearn for any semblance of direction, a gigantic arrow sign in the sky with blinking neon lights, telling us where we should go or what we should be doing, which owes partly to the fact that we do not know why we are here (or how we got here even). On the flipside, the true winners in this lifetime are those who have been able to shed their wool, stand upright with their staff, and lead the herd, which requires confidence, and this confidence can only develop in individuals with skyscraper levels of self-esteem. They typically possess massive amounts of self-belief in their ability to influence and lead others. This is the baseline mindset of a Shepherd. Some are born with the shepherd traits and hone it via the environment they have grown up in. Others, merely adopt it after a long series of self-deprecating life experiences. These former sheep are now equals with other shepherds. They have transitioned from betas to alphas and forced their own luck to come their way. They are the Shorn. The narration of my life's experiences will serve as a set of tips, to help you build and rebuild your esteem levels. It will be your guide on your path to shedding all sheep-like traits (self-pity, self-doubt, irrational fear), and replacing them with that of the Shepherd's, which radiates leadership and confidence. Your happiness has a direct correlation with your esteem levels, and you will enjoy a slightly more improved standard of life once you understand the boosters of self esteem, and how to maintain them. - CWD

Sirra Arris

Hi guys. I'm Sirra Arris, the author of Juuro: The Night Key. I got done with school a while ago, and with all this free time, decided to engage in my favorite, childhood past time; reading about fantasy worlds, and creating them. TV time was limited for me while growing up, & as soon as i got home from school, i would make these papier mache humanoid figures, and use them to enact scenes in my head. These days i just smash the words into my half broken PCscreen. I hope you enjoy the read :))

    PROLOGUE

In this life, there are sheep and there are shepherds. The sheep tend to have no guidance or direction. They need to be led, and in most situations, just exist to service the needs of the shepherd. Humans aren’t that much different, we subconsciously yearn for any semblance of direction, a gigantic fucking arrow sign in the sky with blinking neon lights, telling us where we should go or what we should be doing, which owes partly to the fact that we do not know why we are here (or how we got here even). Some turn to religion for the much needed sense of direction, some cloud their mental space with mundane activities like work/relationships/intoxicants, so they don’t have to be reminded of the need for direction. Others take the seemingly easy (really not) way out of suicide.

On the flipside, the true winners in this lifetime are those who have been able to shed their wool, stand upright with their staff, and lead the herd, which requires confidence. How many times have you heard the phrase it’s all about confidence? It’s been said repeatedly because like an old proverb which goes "No smoke without fire", it’s got some element of truth to it. Say something enough times, anything, with the right amount of confidence, and I bet you that there’s at least one person in this world that’s willing to hold your claim as a truth. Such confidence can only develop in individuals with skyscrapers levels of self-esteem. They typically possess massive amounts of self-belief in their ability to influence and lead others. This is the baseline mindset of a Shepherd.

Some are born with the shepherd traits and hone it via the environment they have grown up in. Others which we are concerned with for the purposes of this book, merely adopt it after a long series of self-deprecating life experiences. These former sheep are now equals with other shepherds. They have transitioned from betas to alphas and forced their own luck to come their way. They are the shorn.
