NORTH STAR LOCOMOTIVE
WE are giving this week, details and instructions of how to build a model of one of our old pioneer engines, and feel sure model builders will be pleased.
A word or two about the prototype of the model will not be out of place.
The North Star
—for such is the name of this quaint old engine—was one of our earliest locomotives, and indeed one of eight which formed a procession at the opening of the Liverpool and Manchester Railway in Septtember, 1830.
