    INTRODUCTION

This book is a pet project of mine that I’ve intended to write for a long time in much more depth and understanding than I’ve done so here. It is my intention to use this initial offering to gauge whether a more comprehensive offering is really desirable to a larger market. For Kindle readers, the book should be updated for you at no extra cost in the event that I expand this offering.

In the following words, I will be providing a limited amount of information on each drug or legal high or questionably legal high. Not all substances here are legal across the board, and most of them have their own considerations. I’ve done my best to mention this several times, but you will always want to do your own research to check on current laws.

As mentioned, this is in no way a comprehensive list, and the information here is based largely on personal knowledge and experiences. As such, it may not be completely accurate. Your mileage may vary. You are highly encouraged to do more research on your own.

I cannot stress this enough. Please do your research. It will make your experiences so much better.

    LEGAL HIGHS

    Salvia Divinorum

Salvia is a psychoactive plant known for causing hallucinations (or trips) that tend to only last around five to ten minutes, with some residual effects. The Aztecs were believed to have used it for divine purposes, such as seeing visions/prophecy, healing, etc. Generally, it was the nobility of their culture that were involved with such substances.

Today, it is very typical to see salvia divinorum as an extract. Extracting the leaf increases the potency and allows for a small amount to be consumed before a trip is reached. It usually looks like small black, sticky flecks… almost like burnt spinach if you ask me.

    Legality / Loopholes

The manufacture of salvia extract and the purchase of salvia is legal in many states. However, many states have passed laws making it illegal. Even where it’s legal, salvia will generally be labeled as an incense and marked as not for human consumption.

You’ll probably have a hard time finding it legally in any of the following states, but the actual legality varies a bit between each. Do some research if you’re unsure, but expect to have a harder time finding it in these places.

Salvia is illegal or partially illegal in:

    • Alabama
