Chapter 1
WOMAN
In every land or place,
Be it under lord or earl,
Whether it be heaven or hell
It is a woman who dictates the pace
If a people be plagued by greed,
Or they live by some noble creed
All that’s to be said of a clan of men
Reflects but the longing of its women
A woman’s approval is prized like none other
Whether it be wife, mistress or mother
And such points the way,
Towards which man’s strivings must sway
Fine and sublime is woman’s activity
Such is her portion in God’s creation
But how she’s fallen into depravity,
And with her, men of every nation.
CHAPTER 2
THE MOMENT BEFORE THE END
At that moment before the end,
It all makes a lot of sense
All provisions are seen for their end
And the one becomes servile to every sense.
When over famined lands,
And scorched and baked sands,
The rainclouds gather from distant ends
Gratitude heralds the moment before the end.
Despair besieges the soul who has woefully sown
Its gaze disfavours all it did nurture and tend;
For every treasure’s worth shall be known,
At that moment before the end.
To them wearied with life’s wars
And unsettled by all that is and was
What taste does approaching victory lend,
At that moment before the end.
In the quest for living,
Love and brotherhood is lost to the living
But their purpose shall the living comprehend,
