About this ebook
Whether we are aware of oppression or not, it laid hands on us increasingly in many more sectors of life. We are far from experiencing happiness and freedom, but the society takes care to give us the illusion that we are on the right track.
Society is based on consumerism, which brings dissatisfaction. The more you want something and you cannot get, the unhappier you become. If you fail to obtain it, it will make you think there's something wrong with you.
People have given their health to the doctor, their soul to the priest, their money to the bank and their children to the school system. It is time for man to regain control of his life.

The Dark Side Of Society - Radu Abrudan
INTRODUCTION
Throughout history the only thing that remained constant was change, thing which generated developments, and which can be found in many historical sources. Mostly science was the one that caused the change and has had an important impact on mankind, developing very much lately. Science has managed to change our society considerably, particularly the relationships between people, as if we forgot the time when the days were longer, when communication was done by means of gestures, emotions, feelings, not just with words and emoticons; when people used to spend time with their beloved and used to do real things with real people. Nowadays, all these turned into hours spent in front of your computer or in bed with our mobile phone connected to the virtual world, a world of illusions. Surely every man in a moment of his life asked himself what should he do and how can he become happy. There is though the possibility to find an answer to this question, while there are so many people who tried and didn’t manage to find it, there are others who, due to present circumstances, give up without even trying. The only way we could ever get an answer is through experience and research that generates unintentional spontaneous remarks. When our goal is too difficult, we have the tendency to give up without even starting it, but this is wrong, you cannot know if you like something unless you try that particular thing. For example you want to become the best person that you can be, but somewhere deep inside, you know you cannot accomplish this because it's too difficult, it requires more effort and you should wean so many habits. But that does not mean you have to give up, forcing yourself can help you become a better man.
If someone were to ask you what you really want, probably on top of your list would be happiness and freedom. Everybody wants these two things. Every step we take, every decision we make, every purchase we do hide the idea that once we do all these we will have the feeling for which we yearn so much, happiness…And we firmly believe that we will achieve happiness when we will meet our personal objectives. We have the impression that once we finish high school, graduate a faculty, get a well-paid job, marry, we will be happy. But the euphoria we feel after experiencing and achieving all these things soon fades away. In fact we could say that happiness lies in how you travel to these great destinations of your life. Happiness will never come from the outside; it is a reflection of how you feel inside. So happiness is and was always in front of your eyes, the only things that you need to do is to open them and see things that really matter. Happiness is not a place where you once arrive, settle down and then you are happy. It's a feeling that has no measurement, no happy
or happier
, you either are, or not happy ... The core component of happiness is YOU. You have to accept yourself for who you are and stop being somebody that you are not, just for the sake of being accepted by the society. If you are not what YOU want to be then start and make changes in order to become what you really want.
The first change you should do is to learn to enjoy every moment of the day and appreciate every little thing that you do, from simple coffee in the morning to meetings with your family or friends. Life is a gift, not a curse or so we should perceive it.
Probably there are certain thoughts in your head telling you that what you do now is normal, especially when looking around at others who do mostly the same things. It is very hard to realise you have a problem until you have to solve it. The first step in solving any problem is its awareness. You have to analyse the situation to see what's wrong and identify the cause. You must realise that you should be solely responsible for your actions and must accept the situation as it is. There is one problem, one that few are aware of, the fact the society has various forms that influence you and keep you locked in a world where it's hard to see and understand something other than what you are given to understand. It offers you many roads to go, but all lead to the same place, far from the truth and reality. You must become aware of the role that you have in your own culture and society, that you are not the only one who can be taken into account, that everything around you is part of you and that you have a responsibility for those around you. And in order for you to be aware of your role, analysis and understanding of the place are required. Real life cannot be understood rationally until that is not clearly seen: people locked in cells deprived of real freedom. To be truly free is both difficult and easy at the same time. Freedom can be considered a disease of the society, even when we see directly and painfully our own slavery, that we are kept in cells and controlled like animals on a farm. Once we are able to see these, there comes the fear of being attacked by fellow citizens. In order to see the dark side of the society you must leave the cage.
Perhaps what you read further in this book will help you understand our world and can help you get out of the cage or at least see beyond it. Be convinced that it is better to live the truth than a lie, although the truth is in most of the cases very cruel, especially nowadays.
THE PSYCHOLOGY OF THE HUMAN BEING
The main element of the human development is the brain, whose role is to collect, analyse, structure, store and access information from the external environment, the environment in which we live. Everything that comes from the outside influences the brain on the smallest details beginning with the mental skills and continuing with behaviour, having a positive or a negative influence.
Human behaviour has been a subject of study since ancient times, but its systematic research began in the second half of the twentieth century with the development of social and human sciences. Its study is based on observable actions of someone’s body. Over the years, numerous objective methodologies of the human behaviour were developed, there has been discovered constant functional links between stimulus and receptor and also discovered behavioural patterns, etc. As in the case of human behaviour, one of the reasons of this insufficiency is caused by continuous change of the society over the years. This behaviour is very closely related to the society which is continuously changing due to scientific progress and the desire to satisfy human needs. Lately it has been focusing on changing the environment so as to provide the most physical comfort which emphasises personality traits such as laziness, convenience. Together with the increasing of physical comfort, the psychological discomfort was enhanced. A good example would be the car. This is a way of travelling long or short distances, efficient and convenient, which requires almost none physical effort, but creates mental stress when we are in traffic, when looking for a parking space or when it stops functioning etc.
Currently, the society is the one that determines different patterns, implicitly creating some contexts for their development (corporate environment); in the past the adaptability of man to his environment was the one which created the patterns.
Man is living his daily life in a natural and complex environment which is bombed with different stimuli and information. From this ocean of information, the brain manages to process consciously only a small part, for our own sake we should learn to filter information so that we can take on only the pieces that are necessary for the various situations we encounter. This can be done with the help of ATTENTION. It is a psycho-physiological process that requires mental concentration and adaptation of sensory-motor behaviour to obtaining a successful outcome in the case of an encountered task. Its triggering is achieved by means of perception stimulus or voluntarily by controlling memory, thought, imagination, etc.
Someone who pays attention responds selectively to stimuli, observes, detects and filters the relevant information needed for a certain situation, ignoring the others.
Another elemental psychological process is sensation. Sensations are characterised by different qualities of the reflection of the external world objects and phenomena of the internal conditions of the body when the stimuli operate on the receptor. If there is a deprivation of certain feelings or sensations we as humans are gripped by an informational hunger
, leading to an intensification of mental activity of the brain (occurring delusions, hallucinations).
The process of biological evolution has led to the development of the sense organs, to continuous adaptation based on natural selection. When the external agents are in action, the sensations offer information, as detailed and as accurate as possible, about the properties of objects and phenomena which are important for the existence and normal functioning of the human body.
The sense organs can be considered as sensory apparatus
because they get the necessary information for the human being in order to have the best orientation in time and space.
The sensations are focused and unified, whole images using sensory perception, offering direct human guidance in the environment.
Perception can be defined as a reflection of the human consciousness of phenomena and objects that act directly on receptors. Perceptions are part of the knowledge process closely related to thinking, memory and imagination. These are conditioned to attention while motivation stimulates and orients them selectively.
The difference between sensations and perceptions consists in the fact that sensations are reflected in object traits and perceptions create a reflection of the object as a whole, an ensemble of the attributes held by an object or phenomena. Even though the perception seems to be a sum of attributes generated by sensations, in fact, it contains a distinct qualitative form of sensorial knowledge over the environment.
Psychic life is not only the immediate experience, the flow of mental feelings and representations being made up of units of time, which are elapsing quickly to move from the past so that thus ensuring
