    DEDICATION

This book is dedicated to every person who has been wounded by a close friend or relative with a very lean purse through unfulfilled promises of paying back debts. May they forgive them, for only in forgiveness can true peace be found. May the words in this book provide a cure for those with lean purses so that it offers them an insight on financial success which will help them to acquire money, to keep money and to make their surpluses earn more money.

    QUOTATION:

Peak performers do not see accomplishment as a fixed state, nor as a safe haven in which the individual is moored, completed, finished. Not once have I heard a peak performer speak of an end to challenge, excitement, curiosity, and wonder. Quite the contrary. One of their most engaging characteristics is an infectious talent for moving into the future, generating new challenges, living with a sense of more to be done -

    INTRODUCTION

Finance in today's world is very crucial. Some people wonder if it is possible to live without money, while others believe it is possible to live without it. Our lives revolve around money. We struggle to get money .Whatever the view we hold on the issue of money it is evident that money is critical in all aspects of life.

We need money to pay our rent, medical bills, school fees and many other expenses. Many marriages and homes are broken because of money. It is also a very agonizing experience to faithfuls to read in a local daily that their church is being auctioned because they can't pay a debt of 26 million Kenya Shillings (Daily Metro, October 10, 2008). What is evident is that money is critical to both Christians and non-Christians. Nobody is immune from the issue of money.

Money is one of the most emotionally charged issues of our lives. Some people are willing to give up things that are much more valuable than money in order to get more of it. They will sacrifice time with their families and friends, or even sacrifice their health in order to make more money. Money is a strong force associated to both pain and pleasure within our society. Money is often used as a parameter to measure the difference in the quality of lives, and also to magnify the gap between the haves and have-nots.

For some people money holds the mystery. For others it is the source of desire, pride, envy, and even contempt. Is money the fulfilment of dreams or is it the root of all evil? Is it a weapon or a tool of power? Is money a source of freedom, power or security?

In many Christian churches, the issue of finance has become critical and many preachers have devised some tricks which they press to their congregation on how to prosper and make a lot of money. They preach on sowing the seed so that God can multiply whatever you gave in a geometric fashion. This type of thinking has reduced God to be more of a magician, or they end up having a gambling mentality which has contributed to Christians behaving as if God operates a lottery or a company akin to a Casino where all you need to do is give him much, then Open Sesame an instant miracle. This simplistic view can end up frustrating these Christians and they may wonder what type of God do they believe in?

As far as economics is concerned money is merely a medium of exchange. Money allows us to simplify the process of creating, transferring and sharing value within a society. It is a convenience that allows us freedom from the hustles of barter trade.

In our modem society we tend to associate some of our most sad emotions to scarcity of this commodity called money. In many cases anxiety, frustrations, fear, insecurity, worry, anger, humiliation and stress are associated with this commodity.

Some Political systems have been toppled by the pressure associated with financial deprivation. Many Coup detat leaders justify the
