    I think the Scottish eye dialect (accented spelling) is charming. Roald grew up British and had Scottish connections, so why not? Shame so many people complain about it instead of just looking for a standardised version! That aside, love this book. Another Roald Dahl classic!

    For all the people wondering why all words seem funny, it is mentioned in the title that this book is in SCOTS.
