Description
Words of Gold: Poetry of a Gentleman – is a compilation of poems by Adam Smith written on Christmas night in Jerusalem December 2017. The book is an entertaining meditation on different topics concerning life, ideas, and death, living and keeping on. It will a good read to all those who like wordplay and skillful articulation of the English language. Art is made to make us better as people otherwise I don’t see a point in it. This book is made to bring joy and inspiration. As an Author, I hope you’ll enjoy every bit of it.

PART I
PART II
PART I
––––––––
1
I lost the war,
I lay naked on the floor,
And gaze at the stars.
My heart is full but mind is empty.
––––––––
2
Who is your teacher today?
Who will be painting the sky blue or red?
Who are you looking for to blame in your stead?
––––––––
3
First little step towards the reason,
Allows to conclude,
The nearing of season, it brings us joy and pious tact,
Which we are needing in fact.
4
Cheese and a cracker,
Great treat for a snacker.
Let’s consume and digest,
Before we go to eternal rest.
––––––––
5
Morning star gives us a message,
About the rising sun,
The day begins and there is so much fun.
––––––––
6
Jokingly I fall down,
And understand how close is the ground,
I wish I could share the same impression,
Whenever I fall on the land,
And start to understand –
How jokes come in handy even when you can’t stand.
––––––––
7
Pajamas are wearables for the night,
When moon shines bright,
When moon shines over for the barks,
All night, for my beloved wolf pack,
At a night full of stars.
8
Old vinyl plays on gramophone,
I simply enjoy a classy song,
With the best of today,
When my heart beats with zero delay.
––––––––
9
Journey to the center
Begins with a sip of a liquor,
I take the pills and go
Finally I feel like at home.
––––––––
10
Class and grace –
Are traits of a gentlemen.
Gentlemen, who understand that,
This world has to offer more than dollars and silver or gold,
Men who understand that values are before any tangible goods of old.
––––––––
11
Arabic nights are full of fights
We tend to go together unconsciously
With the wild
