About this ebook
Are you in the category of people who are doing well outwardly but inwardly they always find this awkward feeling of immaturity and feeble mindedness? Do you sometimes find it hard to forgive yourself or get over an unpleasant memory of your past? Do you grow up uncomfortable, ashamed, embarrassed, and always feeling less worthy? Do you aspire to communicate true unconditional love to your kids as a parent but always struggle to sustain it? How exactly is your intimate life? Plagued by constant feelings of insecurity, anxiety or depression?
If any of these sound like you, it might be time you considered embracing your inner child. Everyone has a way they were programmed by the things they went through while growing up. Those interpretations we gave to every one of those childhood experiences (though often overlooked) are still very much alive in our subconscious minds, influencing our emotions and the outcome of events around us even now in adulthood.
In this book, Gerard Cooper discusses from his wealth of practical experience as a Recovery Therapist, the best approach to resolving these complex situations by nurturing your inner child. He provides you with a list of most common childhood experiences, and a second list of possible beliefs or ‘false childhood interpretations’ of these childhood experiences, both of which will help you in
•identifying the roots of your pain (the shame, the anger, the depression, insecurity, etc),
•understanding how to face and relive the pain (through guided imagination),
•Separating from it
•Releasing the pain through powerful words affirmations that reassure your inner child and settles the crisis
•Sustaining that harmony with your inner child over time, en route to actualizing emotional and spiritual freedom
This book is all you need to be able to face and embrace your deepest vulnerabilities and those aspects of yourself that you often try to hide from the world. In the end, you would have developed peace and happiness within yourself en route to living a more fulfilled life. Why wait? Would you rather go back and continue struggling with your internal crisis?

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5In basic and accessible vocabulary, Gerard Cooper explained and made clearly understood concepts I have been working through for decades. It is a great starting point for all who are trying to decipher the reasons for adult non-working belief systems. I will now read and work with the information presented in all of his books.
