    In her old life, Emare was humble and hardworking, living solely to support her brother on a quiet promise. Promising her late mother to prevail at all cost, Emare has cast aside her old role to lead her new life.

    She is now the Remnant, the gluttonous Familiar, sworn to do the bidding of a Magician. And no other Magician than Cross, the spoiled child who’d rather feed her to his loyal subjects then have her in his manor. A master who renders her unable to shift back and forth between her Soul-self, when the two but heads.

    But Emare is determined to fulfill her duties as the Remnant despite such, and learns more and more why her perilous role is much more of a trial than she ever could’ve bargained for. More so when an infiltrator penetrates Medina’s defenses, aiming for the heart of the kingdom. And it may very well be more complicated, and then, especially with the ominous Ever lurking ever nearer.

    With her past not too far behind her, will Emare prevail if it holds the power to drag her back? Scattering with the leaves or forging ahead on the path to the future, what will overcome her first? Emare may just be in over her head.
