Valerie Parker is a writer, photographer, homeschool mom and homesteader. She and her husband and two children live on a small, diverse permaculture farm in Vermont where they grow organic fruits, herbs and vegetables. She breeds registered Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats that are hand raised and are as loving and tame as puppy dogs. Their farm menagerie also includes chickens, cats, bunnies and a beloved farm dog named Annie, who is the star of another one of Valerie’s books, The Adventures of Sweet Meadows Farm: Annie the Farm Dog Helps Out.
