      My Journey with Reilly - Lynette Wissinger

      Introduction

      There have been people and circumstances on my journey through life that have inspired me.

      I have written poetry, but could anyone inspire me enough to write more than a few lines? Grandchildren are inspiring—all grandparents understand that! It took a beautiful child with special needs and a heart for God to so inspire me that I felt I had a story to tell. I could not keep the story to myself.

      Could I actually write a book, regardless of size, on my own? Maybe not. But I believe that God’s purpose was for me to write about my life with Reilly. I was able to feel God’s leading as I wrote about our journey.

      Reilly was my cheerleader when I would finish a section and read it to him. More than once, he had to wait patiently as I dried my eyes while reading some lines that were especially touching to me.

      God has used Reilly to inspire many people who have been privileged to know him. His music, which is sung from the heart, brings tears of joy to those who hear and watch him.

      It is easy to see God’s hand on Reilly’s life and the joy in his heart. You will never hear him complain about his disease or his inability to do simple things.

      My hope is that as you read my story about our journey, his testimony might inspire you to be more spiritual, more thankful, and more loving to those around you who are not physically privileged.

      I thank friends for encouraging me to follow the path to publishing and a special thank you to my husband who was supportive to me through my writing. He has helped me to get my story out to you.
