Description
In a sense, some of the poems contained in this volume are versified prose telling short stories, but with rhythm. Although rhymes may be considered pedestrian in some quarters, they nonetheless retain a quality so rare in other forms of writing. Song of a Baby features a couple of rhymes which have been carefully strung for your delight.
A baby is the object of a mothers love. Yet, in its innocence, it conceives to teach Mother about love. Song of a Baby may well be likened to thoughts of a baby in the way it modestly seeks to share passionate expressions with an already well-versed world.

INTRODUCTION
Poetry has a great appeal for me. Its art and language leave a lasting impression that’s so soothing. The cadence, the intricate construct, the meters and rhymes, and the brilliance of the whole form ascribe a lively spirit to the message contained in a poem.
Song of a Baby is a collection of poems which gently weave through everyday life—people, places, nature, reminiscences and reflections. Each poem is distinct with non-repetitive themes. The art is beautiful; the style, a mixture of measured rhymes and free verses that read like short stories.
Unrhymed verse, a more pliable form of poetry today, readily lends itself to easier expressions; nevertheless, I find poems that retain a touch of the old pattern very stimulating. Hence, in Song of a Baby, rhymes and some forms of poetic figures of speech are featured.
While a few of the poems speak to the heart in admonition, some others just explore nature. On the whole, this volume is a work of art that possesses many parts, and it’s my desire that readers will find pleasure in this piece.
