FOREWORD
I have traveled the world extensively. Many, but not all of my travels, are covered in my previous book, "SEE"-ZE THE WORLD THAT BELONGS TO YOU. As a result of these excursions, I have met people from just about all walks of life. Some were free spirits; some were quite serious; some had problems; and others were just solid ordinary people. All of these mixed personalities were extremely interesting to me. While most of the ordinary types remain in my memory, I especially recall those that have stood out as a result of their unusual behaviors, and/or life styles. It is from this latter group that I have chosen to relate the outstanding ones.
I have taken some liberties while telling their stories so as not to cause any embarrassment through personal identification. However, these are real people, indeed, whom I shall never forget.
I dedicate this book to my daughter, Mary Ann; my son, Robert J.; and those persons remembered in this book.

Chapter 1
Rita and Stavros
I met Rita and Stavros aboard a cruise ship on the Caribbean Sea. We were heading for the beautiful tropical island of Barbados. It was late spring. The day was bright and warm and the noticeable Trade Winds briskly swept the deck. This made me select a lounge chair on the protected side of the ship.
I was enjoying a leisurely mid-afternoon cold beer on the ship’s Promenade Deck when Stavros, a total stranger, asked if he might join me. Our brief introduction was interrupted by Rita, also a total stranger to me, who appeared excitedly as if out of nowhere. She grabbed a nearby deck chair and dragged it over to where Stavros and I were sitting.
Impatiently, with neither an introduction, nor apology, she began questioning Stavros as to why he had suddenly disappeared from the bar located in the ship’s Atrium. It turned out that they also had just met while having a drink. Stavros appeared flustered for lack of an explanation for his departure. Later, I learned that Rita had come on strongly to him at the bar, a maneuver of which he was not accustomed. Rita let his lack of an excuse pass, and was noticeably elated to have found Stavros again on this very large cruise ship.
So here we were, in just a matter of minutes, three total strangers, thrown together, wondering what was going on and what would happen next. After these strange get-togethers and piece-meal introductions, we three settled down to getting better acquainted on a more relaxed basis. The three of us got along very well during the next hour or so when Rita suggested that we meet again the next day at about the same
