    I am a housewife, a mother of two daughters and three grand children. About four years ago my baby granddaughter came to live with us. She is a "live wire", but such a bundle of joy. When the storms are raging in my life, I turned to writing scripture to get me through the hard times. The scripture seemed to quiet my soul and satisfy my fears. After a few years I wondered what could I do with these note pads I had filled up with the Words of Jesus. I longed to share them with others, so therefore this book was born. My partner in this adventure is a mother of four children, with ten grandchildren. She is a retired school teacher, principal, Sunday School teacher, and was mayor of our hometown.

      I do not claim any thoughts or writing in this book to be my original thoughts. It is simply reading, studying God’s word and sharing the thoughts that have come to me. We pray many hearts will be touched by reading and listening for God’s guidance. I decided a few years ago to capture the Word and share with others my thoughts. In some small way, I pray God will use these Scriptures to comfort and up lift you. In addition, I humble pray that He will bless you as you read and you will let Him come into Your Heart.

      Weathering the Storms

      A terrible storm blew up one day as I was swinging in my yard. As I hurried for the house, I prayed, Lord let us weather this storm. Then my mind moved to the many storms that beat upon our lives. Storms of life cause us to sway like the trees and bend to the forces beyond our control.

      What can we do to fight back the storms of life? I heard a soft whisper in my ear, Your have so much to be thankful for, Praise the Lord! Then I realized each storm brings rebirth, joy, happiness in my Salvation, and praises to sing to our Lord Jesus Christ. I dug through my ‘stuff’ and found my notes I had written on Scripture to help me fight each storm as I had faced them. As I share the special Scripture that touched my life in each storm, I pray they will warm your heart. So take a deep breathe and began your journey to find peace.
