I think that this book is boring. There are to many mermaid books.

Ebben a részben a kedvencem az elején lévő, rövid kis origin story rész, ahol a tábor első napját mutatják be, és hogy hogyan kerültek egy házba a lányok.

Aaaand just like that, this series takes a nosedive again. Seriously, what is it about Lumberjanes that's so hit or miss? One good volume followed by one that doesn't serve much purpose in terms of furthering the plot and has subpar artwork? You'd think, after volume four, this would carry on with the character development and storyline of what's going on in the woods, but no. Instead, we get a very disjointed volume with an issue that feels completely out of place here and a side story of mermaids. Sigh.

The one redeeming thing about this volume, I suppose, is how the girls dealt with April and how she kept putting her own wants and needs before everyone else's. I liked the fact that Jo called her out and told her she was being selfish, as I feel like those moments don't always get shown in young adult literature. However, I don't entirely think much will have changed going forwards with this story, as the plot in this was a bit rushed - probably because this is just a one off and we'll flip flop our way back to the main story in the next volume.

I'm just.... Disappointed and let down. Just like that, my hopes for this series were dashed against the rocks after being raised so high in volume four. Perhaps volume six will be better, but honestly, I don't think I want to find out.
