      Your author’s preface

      This is a continued episode of paradoxical trials and tribulations confronted by the people of planet Earth that has led to splitting them up into Earth people and Mars people.

      Just in case the reader didn’t read or remember the notes on the back cover, the first edition of Paradox Of Progress Unfolding #1 must be read first for understanding this ongoing tale of the future.

      The following is a brief recapitulation of Paradox Of Progress #1 toward the end of the last chapter.

      Instead of remaining on Earth and facing what they interpreted as inevitable human annihilation, the space people chose their destiny of inhabiting Mars and whatever space offered which was plenty; of trouble that is.

      They not only created a disarrangement and repudiation with the acclaimed Earth people in their beliefs and objectives, but also created a problem that could demolish and reduce both Earth and Mars to sputtering rocks and debree throughout the solar system by steering Mars directly into a collision course with Earth. It scared the pants off all the survivors on both sides where Earth and Mars could collide unless both sides could agree on how to avert the collision.

      This is about the skills acquired through technological progress while on Earth that propelled the space people to Mars and set their potential destiny on course which is, paradoxically, in high gear with efforts to avoid a disasterous collision with Earth.

      The man from centuries ahead into the future presents a frightful story of what happened in his history to be revealed so we may alter our course at present if we choose.

      Listening to tales of the future may influence our course. These tales are only of D.B,’s past and can never be conceivably repeated in actuality. The term never implies only to the future. Since future can never be reached, we in the now can make changes that alters our destiny. There is no actual connection between now or in the future to cause conflict, so let us learn from these rare opportunities of the future’s past.

      There are many movie and TV scripts of science fiction where people and machines can do almost anything imaginable and leave little room left for further insight other than utilizing more advanced battle equipment and strategies to kill plus daubing the imagination with unrealistic bodies and faces.

      Paradox Of Progress Unfolding #2 is another far out tale, except it doesn’t portray those strange and ugly beings from other galaxies, unrealistic heroes and mass plots to dominate space civilizations by hateful conquerers.

      The tale deals most of the time with problems ordinary people create themselves in underestimating powers and forces of nature and the unknown.

      The months, years and centuries ahead will only grow day by day with those ordinary and creative people. Those are the people we identify with in the longer term. This is about the kind of possibilities we all face in one space of time or another. This is what these tales of progress are about among the psychological value of people’s social and cultural flexibilities, inequities, desires, tolerances, patience, determination, ambitions, affinities and yes, fears, mistakes, belligerence and ignorance. It is educational not only for realizing mankind’s lust for adventurous expansion and survival, but for learning what can happen in the struggle, risk and glory of constantly reaching out for more of what mankind may not be able to handle with their super innovative ambitions and craving to make their own destiny work.

      This second phase tale of mankind’s progress may be considered a preview possibility of eventual progress repercussions from mankind’s visions of grandiose proportion.

      The contents of this story hasn’t been contrived as a prophecy to follow upon as though it will happen even with those possibilities. The design of this future vision is for stirring the imagination that may lead one or societies to issue prevention methods of future innovation where mankind’s enthusiasm may venture unwisely for the time. Other than objective reasoning for this venture, the excitement of literarily being in that future is there to feel and maybe even speculate a little on what you would do if you got stuck in that era of time.
