- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5At the risk of repeating myself in a review of Amanda Lovelace's books, but I enjoyed this poetry collection. However... Modern poetry though it is, can you really call it poetry? She tells a story in a mix of poems, quotes, thoughts, advice - random snippets from her experiences. You can feel every emotion she's pouring into her words. But I really wouldn't call it a book of poetry.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Absolutely phenomenal like the others Amanda has written. I relate so much to her writing and this one was a joy to read. Lovely?
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5My favorite collection from Lovelace to date. Poignant and ethereal.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Amanda Lovelace gets better with each book. Reading her words makes me feel like we could be kindred spirits, like shes been reading my diary.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I’ve been reading Amanda’s work here and there for years; she has a simple tumblr/ Instagram style to her poetry and still manages to hit the reader bluntly while touching on quite messy issues cleanly. That being said, this is my favorite collection from her thus far- perhaps because I can relate to the dualities of the feelings portrayed; imho this is a great representation of the healing and growth Amanda has experienced.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I connected with this very strongly. My relationship with my mother is complex and it's a difficult subject to talk about. It's hard to put into words how you can love someone and resent them and miss them all at once but Amanda Lovelace manages it here.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I loved the two first chapters , love the truly emotions .
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Stunning, beautiful, wonderful, sad poems. I love her work and will continue to read her books and save the poems for myself to remind me of who I am and where I came from. Words cannot describe what I feel when I read her poems.
