The Story behind the Cover Picture
The Photo at the front cover of the book.
The picture was taken about 4 years ago with my then old iPhone 4S... Now here's the story behind the story. I took that shot when I was dating Cynthia - now my lovely wife.
She had come from the salon that day with those beautiful African braids on.
I unceremoniously pulled out my phone and took some random shots, with the rays of light falling behind her to create a dark image - silhouette.
I fell in love with the image but couldn't use it for any design then. I kept it on my phone and later transferred it unto the PC.
Time flies, we got married...bla bla bla...
Today, in the process of developing the concept of my new book, after many designs, the aha moment happened, when that image suddenly flashed through my mind. Yes! I screamed, this is it!
The designer got the image and bam, magic happened! The befitting picture for the cover image which depicts the African beauty, memories of love, lessons, and patience.
Today, the world will see a beautiful book cover and may not know the story behind it. That's the silent success story of many of us. Men may see your star and desire the glory but never ask of the scars and the process of time and patience.
Again, sometimes, just sometimes you might have great ideas in a moment, but maybe unstable then until the right time.
The conception of the idea to its implementation may require numerous sacrifices, patience, and perseverance and at the opportune time, every piece will fall in place beautifully.
I pray that God grant you the spirit of patience and endurance while awaiting the fulfillment of the promises.
