About this ebook

In today's world, everyone faces problems; professional,
personal, or psychological. Not only individuals, organizations
and governments face problems. It is easier to escape from a
problem than face it. But simple or complex, problems need to
be solved within a timeframe so that goals are achieved.
Problem-solving can be both a science and an art. There are
many well-defined approaches to solving mathematical, scientific
or engineering problems. Psychologists approach to
problem-solving in many ways. According to the situations and
their emotional and intellectual capabilities, people adopt different
techniques and strategies to solve the problems. Norman
Vincent Peale, the famous American author, known for
popularizing the concept of positive thinking has rightly said,
"Problems are to the mind what exercise is to the muscles,
they toughen and make the mind strong."
