      INTRODUCTION

      There is so much more to life than working to make money. If running a business or working at a job is the only way you make money, you will have to keep working forever. If you spend all of your youthful life working for money, you will be too old to enjoy it when you are finally able to retire. For most people, one source of income is no longer enough to meet their needs. Even if you can work longer hours, there is a limit to the amount of work you can do in one day. That is why there is a lot of conversation about passive income in personal finance.

      No matter your age, gender or location, you have just 24 hours in everyday. You have to make the most of these 24 hours in order to create adequate income for your immediate needs and wants as well as future desires. This is why it is vital to learn how to make money work for you by generating passive income.

      Working for money (active income) is limited by time. There is a limit to how much you can do and therefore how much you can earn within a period of time. When you work for a paycheck, the value of your effort ends when you are paid. Then you have to work some more. The same goes for creating a conventional product or providing regular services. Once the product is bought or the service is paid for, you have to put in new effort to get more money. Simply put, your earning stops when you stop working. If you are incapacitated through sickness or an accident, your ability to earn disappears.

      This all changes when you move over to passive income. Passive income makes time work to your advantage. It is a system that perpetuates your efforts continually as long as possible. You can then expand your income generation without being limited by time or your personal ability. Passive income is the secret of the wealthy. They have learned to take their income beyond the boundaries of personal effort and time. They earn recurrent income from many sources that do not require their active participation. So they can be asleep or on holiday and the money keeps rolling in. If financial freedom is your ultimate goal then you have to follow the path of passive income.

      Working 9 to 5 in an office for many years will burn you out and you may still not have enough money to meet your needs. If you don’t want to spend the next 25 years of your life working 60 hour weeks and still getting frustrated about money, you have to embrace passive income ideas and start making money while you are asleep.
