31 Days Of Gratitude From A Once Broken Chick: Thanking Your Way Back To Whole

About this ebook
After ten miscarriages, multiple surgeries to correct fertility issues, a failed business, failed marriage and a laundry list of upsets, Rachel Ellis begged God to just let her die. Lectures from motivational speakers left her more discouraged. Religious services left her hungry and frustrated. It wasn't until she met the mother of a special needs child that she realized the formula to turning her life around: gratitude. By focusing on finding one thing each day for which she was grateful, a beautiful cycle of thanks was set into motion.
Each day, as you read through the pages of this gratitude journal, you're challenged to look at your life as a gift. Take a moment to unwrap one gift and become so overcome with appreciation that negativity fades and positivity takes its place.
What you face is real. Your pain is not a figment of your imagination. These pages aren't filled with empty rhetoric, religious mumbo-jumbo or church cliché. However, through Ellis's journey of gratitude from brokenness to wholeness, you'll learn how to say "thank you" to your own life experiences.

My thanks to our good God for the grace he has gifted me for this journey. And for the many reasons beyond the words of this book; I am grateful.
Benjamin: You’re my best and dearest friend. You’ve handed me the flashlight to see in the darkest of nights! I love lying on your chest; our breathing in sync. I loved those moments and I always will. To most, you seem very quiet, but I thank God for the ministry you give behind closed doors- your third eye is AWESOME and you’re super talkative!
Know that I’m most grateful for YOU! 143 Ps. People don’t get us…did we ever care?
To Rell: You really are my sister! I love you for all that you are, and what you will become!
To my sisters by blood and in love Leah, Mary Natina, Tiffany, Ceci, and Terrell: Thank you for all the ways you’ve contributed to my progress and process. I love you all.
To my mom. Mommy, you and I have such a beautiful bond. I can whisper a desire and your eyes will fill with tears knowing it’s a matter of time before that dream becomes reality.
Thank you for praying me through every process. I love you completely!
To My Mega Life Church Family, thank you for pushing me to finish every assignment God gives me! #BeyondBig
To the readers: Thank you for considering me. Thank you for sharing this journey of gratitude. Be it hard copy or digital, I’m grateful you hold this book in your hands. My love always

Forward
There are many people today writing books on topics that they have little to no personal experience. They fill the pages with second-hand information that has not been personally tried and true in their personal lives.
Few people give you their written experience that can grab you in that foreign place in your life, and navigate you to a place of victory; Rachel Ellis has successfully done just that. I have been doing life with her for the past seventeen years, and we have been through some of the worst tests that life can present. Through it all, she possesses what I believe is a God-given gift to find gratitude in the worst situations.
A true spirit of gratitude is that second wind that kicks in just before your breakthrough and can be the determining factor of whether you give up mid-race or continue towards the finish line.
If you’re questioning present roadblocks and hindrances to the miracles of abundant living, allow Rachel Ellis to inspire you to push forward with the keys she provides to Thank your way our back to wholeness
. You won’t regret this journey.

Editor’s Preface
It has been an incredible learning experience editing this book. It has been one of profound spiritual growth. Generally, we always state that gratitude is a must,
but there is always a lack in the practical aspect of it. I gained that perception when going through the pages of this book. It was more of a journey than an edit.
This devotional is for any citizen of the kingdom of God who is going through a rough patch. The entirety of this devotional leads a believer on a path that will truly give you access to our Heavenly father when all else has failed; the path of gratitude.
You may argue that your knowledge of kingdom principles is exhaustive but I can guarantee something, there is something you do not know in gratitude that the Holy Spirit has revealed to Rachel. Follow the daily routines religiously, discern and it will definitely be revealed to you.
The writer wrote this devotional with great sacrifice as she bares a lot of details involving her personal struggles with depression, betrayal, lack of recognition and so much more to pass across an experiential knowledge of gratitude and how it lifted her out of those difficult situations. It took significant yielding and a level of death to self (Luke 9:23, John 12:24 ESV) and this quite noteworthy. Most believers live lives that guarantee perfection from the local assembly but they
