Moving this utensil across the page
and I’m blanking, even the most
miniscule of tasks I dread tackling
A brother’s motivation is continuing to wane as I’ve been
splitting cheeks since the day I finished The Ballad of Sidney Hill
Nigga, don’t confuse the aforementioned statement with something else
It’s just me being creative and straying away from clichés
Though each poem differs, I’m using the same narrative and vocabulary
Thinking dat’ I ain’t coming up with anything original, I just happen
to be regurgitating what I said three years ago when The Collective was still a new series
Botching quality to surpass a milestone and have a right to boast just because
This is what savage writer has been reduced to, can’t be right
I need dat’ hiatus

After 2020 an artist needs to pursue new ventures
while coming up with future projects
Ready to return to form, crime, and urban thriller
Studio is calling my name, find me a producer with murderous beats
I’ll just take my influence to stage, a few vocal lessons and I’ll be signing in operas
Catch me in a handful of movies
Sooner or later, I shall make an acting debut
How could I forget about the merchandising?
Real estate, doing God’s work by helping da’ less fortunate
Feeding the homeless, paying children’s tuitions
