About this ebook
Four Walls collects 48 poems written sporadically over a number of years.
An ambience of melancholy resides throughout, detailed and discovered through abstract words and metre.
Despite being a collection, these poems were written independently, relating to specific events, emotions or situations with no connection between them. The poems retain a timeless lack of specificity throughout, leaving the tone and feeling of each poem to be administered personally. Each can be considered the start or end point of a journey, if a journey is felt at all.
All that is given to the reader is four walls and the space between them that can be explored in as much detail as the reader wishes to look for.

Her sly voice talks me out of my innocence,
And such hope is lost today.

You shall see here birds:
Robins and Ravens haunt me
As thought in true form.

The bird of aether archs its way across the cloud,
And found itself in the Sun’s brightest rays.
It can become the greatest of kings,
Tyrant crowing.
In golden rays it can’t be known.
For the aether bird cannot compete with heavenly light.
In the Sun’s high face now it has become shade.
