      Introduction

      Hi, I’m Billy Chan, and if you’ve read my books before, you can skip this part, turn the page, and go straight into the story. If you haven’t, then there are a few things I need to explain. 1) I’m a chimera hunter, which means I have the power to follow mythical creatures back to their own worlds. (I don’t actually hunt them.) 2) I’m a book character. I know it’s weird that I know that, but I do. You should know that I know that because 3) you’re going to help me make choices in this book.

      A lot of crazy things happen to me, and you can help me decide what to do. You can make safe decisions or risky decisions—and risky decisions are totally allowed. In a book, they can be fun! In real life, you want to try to make safe decisions, but books are a place to let your imagination run wild. No matter what you decide, you won’t hurt me because, like I said, I’m a book character. Turn the page to join me on my latest adventure.
