Diabetes mellitus commonly known as diabetes is a chronic disease that affects millions of people around the world; it is characterized by high levels of sugar in the blood and it comes with three main symptoms which are frequent urination (polyuria), frequent hunger (polyphagia) and increased thirst (polydipsia).
