Delicious Empanada Recipes

Tasty Potato and Beef Empanadas

While traditional beef empanadas are good by themselves, these empanadas are twice as delicious. Easy to make and absolutely mouthwatering, I know you will want to make these empanadas every day.

Makes: 20 Servings

Total Prep Time: 1 Hour and 30 Minutes

Ingredient for Your Dough:

1 ½ Cups of Flour, All Purpose Variety

1 Cup of Masa Harina

1 tsp. of Baker’s Style Baking Powder

1 tsp. of Salt, For Taste

½ Cup of Butter, Fully Melted and then Cooled

1 Cup of Water, Warm

1 Egg, Large in Size and Beaten

1 Tbsp. of Water, Warm

Ingredients for Your Filling:

1 Tbsp. of Oil, Vegetable Variety

1 ½ Pounds of Beef, Lean and Ground

1 Onion, Large in Size and Finely Diced

3 Cloves of Garlic, Minced

1 Bell Pepper, Red in Color and Finely Diced

1 Bell Pepper, Green in Color and Finely Diced

12 Green Olives, Pimiento Stuffed Variety and Finely Chopped

4 Potatoes, Yukon Variety, Peeled and Finely Diced

1 tsp. of Onion, Granulated Variety

1 tsp. of Garlic, Powdered Variety

½ tsp. of Red Pepper Flakes, Crushed

1 tsp. of Salt, For Taste

Dash of Black Pepper, For Taste

½ tsp. of Cumin, Ground

1 tsp. of Oregano, Fresh and Dried

1 tsp. of Paprika

1 Tbsp. of Worchester Sauce

1 Tbsp. of Tomato Paste

½ Cup of Broth, Chicken Variety and Homemade Preferable


1. The first thing that you will want to do is make your dough first. To do this use a large sized bowl and mix together all of your ingredients for your dough in a large sized bowl until thoroughly mixed. Cover your dough with some plastic wrap and place into your fridge to chill for the next 30 minutes to an hour.

2. place a large sized skillet over medium heat. Once your skillet is hot enough add in your ground beef. Cook until thoroughly brown in color. This should take at least 5 minutes.

3. After this time add in your onions and garlic and cook until your onions are translucent. Once done add in your next 4 ingredients. Stir well to thoroughly combine. Continue to cook for another 5 minutes, making sure to stir occasionally.
