Get On Out Of Here
Go on, buddy,
Get on out of here.
There nothing here for you anyways.
Not anymore.
You’re a marked man, buddy,
And there’s nothing you
Can do about it.
Don’t go fooling yourself
Thinking that in time
Things will turn out fine.
It’s not going to happen that way,
At least not here, there’s no way.
All the people know who you are.
Sure, they’ll talk to you,
But as soon as you leave
They’ll be laughing at your expense.
You’re a nobody man,
You’re just a convenient joke.
You’re human trash in their eyes.
They’ll never let you live in peace.
Do you want to be
At peace with yourself?
There is only one way
In which you may have that peace.
You must go home,
Pack up all of your things
And get on out of here.
It’s the only way.
You must go away from here,
Far away, and start a new life over.
Start a new life over,
Where no one knows you
And you know no one.
You have learned your lessons here.
And here, you are a marked man.
And in your new life,
Don’t make the same
Mistakes that labeled you here, the joke.
So, go on and get on out of here.
Start a new life, before it’s too late.
I am telling you this
Because you and I
Share the same disgrace.
It’s too late for me,
For I am far too old now.
But you are still a young man.
You have the ability to start over.
I wish that I had
Done what I am telling you to do.
Don’t delay, just go.
Leaving Here
Baby, I’m leaving you.
Actually, I’m leaving this place.
I can’t stand to live
Here for one more day.
So, I’m leaving today
And I won’t be back.
It’s not that hard for me.
Except for you, honey.
I’ve been aware of the fact
That we’ve been slowly drifting apart.
Lately it seems that you
Never hear a word say
And you always seem to be
In your own little world,
Staring off in space.
I know that I’ll miss you.
Know that I love you and care for you.
I will try, but I’m making no promises,
But I’ll try to write you or call you
Every once in awhile.
I will make no promises.
I don’t belong here.
I’m leaving to get
Away from all the fucking shit
That the people here
Have put me through.
I’m going to go as far away
As it is humanly possible
For me to do so.
I really do hate to leave you,
But I’m afraid we were
Doomed to be broken apart.
It’s better for us both
If I go away today.
I’m sorry if I hurt you.
I’m sorry if I made you sad.
I’m sorry if you want to cry,
But if you must cry,
Please only cry for a little while.
No, I will never return.
Not to you or this
Hell I called home.
You must find another love
To take my place and fill your empty heart.
Good-bye my love, I’m leaving now, I’ll miss you.
I’m sorry it had to be this way.
The Emerald Snake
I’m a brain dead poet
Whose hand is telling me,
Cut me a break man, this is killing me!
The snake in the pits of
My entire being is seeking escape.
Through my intestines it crawls
Its way out of my throat and
Onto the floor leaving a
Black and acidic film on my tongue.
Emerald looking clouds hover
Over an old Oak tree.
Beautiful winter day,
Bring on that wonderful rain.
Stormy and violent sky.
Electric and booming night.
I do believe I will slip
On my leather jacket
And go down to that
Popular rock `n` roll nightclub.
I’ll sit and drool over the
Salty pretzels and drink some beer
Named after one of our founding
Father’s, Samuel Adams.
Perhaps, tonight I’ll finally get
Lucky and not go home alone.
The Insane Poet Show
- Radio Stick -
Good afternoon.
Are you ready to
Experience the insanity
Of the Insane Poet Show,
With yours truly,
The Insane Poet?
Yes, that’s right,
I am the Insane Poet.
But I tell you this,
I may not be
