    I love nature and I love animals.  I have children who are always interested in animals.  I love to teach my children about the different animals all over the world.  I wrote this book for children to make it easier to understand and learn more about our planet’s amazing animals.

    What happens when we go to sleep?  The world never sleeps.  Take a look at animals that are active at night.  Learn what the night animals do, how these animals can see in the dark and catch their prey.  Animals of the night are interesting.  Young and old can enjoy this book.

    ABOUT NIGHT ANIMALS

    We find animals that are active during the day and animals that are active at night.  When animals are mainly active at night we call them nocturnal animals.  Nocturnal means awake at night.  These animals can be awake during the day too, but are mostly active during the night.

    Animals that are active in the early night hours or early morning hours, during dusk and dawn, are called crepuscular animals.  Crepuscular means active during bright moonlight nights, and during nightfall and sunrise.  These animals can also be active when the nights are not too dark.
