About this ebook
Daham El Mezrab
Daham El Mezrab is a fascinating blend of contradiction. A descendant of Arab nobility who writes modern poetry, a man who enjoys chess, novels, philosophy, and street fighting. He believes in tradition, yet he defies it. He believes in God, yet his intellectual heroes are atheists. He enjoys hard work and toil. He can be very brutal and tender. He is a law student, a provider, a religious man, a sinner; just a man channelling his chaos through self-expression, his favourite way being poetry.

Worth It
A subject of much distress
At least to me
I saw a man who sacrificed so much
To be
And he became all of what he wanted to be
And he said to me
Looking teary
It wasn’t worth it.
He Only Tried to Accept Himself
I know someone
In his attempt to ruin the world
He tried to ruin everyone
To accept his bad self
He tried to ruin everyone
To make a carbon copy
But he discovered it only made him feel worse
It only made him feel worse
It only made him feel worse.
To Read
I read so much that I discovered that it’s harmful to read
Knowing the complex abstract that you don’t really need
Is worse than ignorance, a far more harmful seed
It breeds ignorance of a more dangerous weed
Rooted in knowledge is the worst ignorance to read
It looks sophisticated while it’s not
Dangerous indeed
Don’t read unless you need to read
An advice from a man who really reads
I read the texts honestly
Without bragging to proceed
I discovered that I am rare
That rarely people do read
So do you want to read?
Stressful Thoughts
Do you remember that sudden flash?
Do you remember those gruesome thoughts?
They come and never really pass
What a sadistic outcome
You see you live in ruin
Your loved ones in flames
The worst possible scenarios repeated in vain
But you can’t stop the thoughts
Where did they come from?
Demons, I say, that’s where they come from.
My Father Once Told Me
My father once told me
With a book in my hand
He smiled
And told me
"Son, if you shall continue to read
If you choose to really read
Without the bragging
Without ignorance
First you will be a liberal
Then if you continue to read
You will know that you know nothing
Then if you continue to read
You will have
The same mind-set
The same mentality
As your
