About this ebook

Wouldn’t you want a religion that every logician, mathematician, philosopher, and scientist on earth could embrace, a religion fully consistent with all the points made by Kurt Gödel when he listed the 14 key religious principles he accepted? That religion already exists. It’s called ontological mathematics, predicated on the principle of sufficient reason and Occam’s razor, and constitutes an a priori, rationalist, analytic, deductive religion, metaphysics and physics. Mathematics explains all.

Nobel laureate Paul Dirac said, “God is a mathematician of a very high order and He used advanced mathematics in constructing the universe.”

In fact, God simply is mathematics! God is not a non-mathematical Being who sometimes does mathematics. God is a mathematical Being who does nothing but mathematics, hence IS nothing but mathematics. God is one united mathematical Mind at zero entropy, and countless competing, autonomous mathematical minds at non-zero entropy. It is this capacity of God to be both one and many, united and divided, non-entropic and entropic, cooperative and competitive, that gives our reality the characteristics it has.

Galileo said, “Nature is written in that great book which ever is before our eyes – I mean the universe – but we cannot understand it if we do not first learn the language and grasp the symbols in which it is written. The book is written in mathematical language, and the symbols are triangles, circles and other geometrical figures, without whose help it is impossible to comprehend a single word of it; without which one wanders in vain through a dark labyrinth.”

Nature is written in the God language of mathematics because God is mathematics.

Bertrand Russell said, “Mathematics takes us still further from what is human, into the region of absolute necessity, to which not only the world, but every possible world, must conform.”

God must conform to mathematics too. Therefore, God is mathematics.

Religion is true. Thanks to mathematics.

The time has come - for a universal rational and logical Logos religion, which at last gets rid of faith, mysticism, superstition, revelation and Mythos. We don't need priests, prophets, gurus and messiahs. We need geniuses. We need the world's top logicians and rationalists. We need the very best mathematicians, calculating the answer to the Ultimate Question of life, the universe, and everything.

    The God Cube

My theory is a monadology with a central monad [namely, God]. It is like the monadology by Leibniz in its general structure. My theory is rationalistic, idealistic, optimistic, and theological. ... there are many relationships which today’s science and received wisdom haven’t any inkling of. – Kurt Gödel

Kurt Gödel, the most famous logician of the modern era, was a highly religious man. As you would expect, his religious views were expressed through reason and logic, making these views radically different from those of conventional religion, based on faith, superstition, emotionalism, revelation and mysticism. Mainstream religion has shown itself absurd, but does that mean that rationalist religion must be absurd too, or is rationalist religion exactly what could confer meaning and purpose on science, which is otherwise meaningless and purposeless? Could rationalist religion provide the explanation of existence and account for the birth of the Big Bang universe of space, time and matter? Is rationalist religion the missing link, the vital ingredient that allows science and religion to at last be unified? Is it the way to bring together empiricism and rationalism?

Gödel set out the scheme for his religion – his rationalist theology – in 14 points, where he emphasized his opposition to materialism and his support of a priori analysis. His religious views followed those of his great rationalist hero, Leibniz, and reflected the key ontological unit required to bring life to rationalist religion – the monad, the dimensionless atom.

Gödel said, I was very much interested to hear that you are considering applications of Leibnizian ideas to modern physics [...]. I do think that the possible applications of Leibniz’s work to modern science are far from being exhausted. In particular the unpublished manuscripts of Hanover may contain invaluable ideas as to the systematic solution of mathematical, as well as other scientific, problems. In fact this must be so, if Leibniz ever put down on paper what he definitively claimed to have discovered, and if the manuscripts concerned were not lost in the subsequent centuries.

Gödel came to believe that there was a conspiracy to destroy Leibniz’s work. When asked, Who could have an interest in destroying Leibniz’s writings?, he replied, Naturally those people who do not want men to become more intelligent.

Any attempt to create a rationalist religion always has to come back to Leibniz. Leibniz, a philosophical, mathematical and logical genius, was the best person to establish a rationalist theology, and the first to generate a rationally rigorous candidate theology capable of explaining science, namely his monadology, where mind atoms rather than matter atoms ground reality.

Gödel said, Of course, today we are far from being able to justify the theological worldview scientifically, but I think already today it may be possible purely rationally (without the support of faith and any sort of religion) to apprehend that the theological worldview is thoroughly compatible with all known facts (including the conditions that prevail on our earth). Two hundred and fifty years ago the famous philosopher and mathematician Leibniz already tried to do that, and that is also what I have attempted in my last letter. What I called the theological worldview is the idea that the world and everything in it has meaning and reason to it and in fact a good and indubitable meaning. From that it follows directly that our earthly existence, since it in itself has a very doubtful meaning, can only be a means toward the goals of another existence. The idea that everything in the world has meaning is, after all, precisely analogous to the principle that everything has a cause, on which the whole of science rests.

So, technically, Gödel supported a theological worldview rather than a religion per se, but a theological worldview is exactly what most people would call a religion. Let’s just say that Gödel differed from the mainstream religious in that he was one of the few to endorse rationalist religion – predicated on reason and logic – as opposed to traditional religion, functionally opposed to reason and logic in almost every way. Rationalist religion, exactly because it is rational, is tremendously off-putting for the typical religious and spiritual person, who wants to luxuriate in faith, mysticism, superstition, astrology, prayer, meditation, ritual, mindfulness, emotion (love), and so on.

To any intellectual, by contrast, the only religion that could ever be taken seriously is rationalist religion. The likes of Pythagoras, Plato, Aristotle, Descartes, Leibniz, Hegel and Gödel have done the hard work necessary to make such a religion viable.

Wouldn’t you want a religion that every logician, mathematician, philosopher and scientist on earth could embrace, a religion fully consistent with all the points made by Gödel when he listed the key religious principles he advocated? In fact, that religion already exists. It’s called ontological mathematics, predicated on the principle of sufficient reason and Occam’s razor. It constitutes a coherent, holistic, a priori, rationalist, analytic, deductive religion, metaphysics and physics. Ontological mathematics explains all.

Nobel laureate Paul Dirac said, God is a mathematician of a very high order and He used advanced mathematics in constructing the universe.

Actually, God simply is mathematics!

Galileo said, Nature is written in that great book which ever is before our eyes – I mean the universe – but we cannot understand it if we do not first learn the language and grasp the symbols in which it is written. The book is written in mathematical language, and the symbols are triangles, circles and other geometrical figures, without whose help it is impossible to comprehend a single word of it; without which one wanders in vain through a dark labyrinth.

Nature is written in the God language of mathematics because God is mathematics. We do not live in a universe of things (stuff), but in a universe of language, driven by intelligent language nodes (mathematical monadic minds).

The famous physicist John Wheeler divided his scientific life into three phases: 1) Everything is particles, 2) Everything is fields, 3) Everything is information. If he had lived a bit longer, he would have arrived at a fourth and final phase that makes sense of all the others: Everything is mathematics.

There’s nowhere to go after that.

Wheeler said, "Every it is a bit. String theorists say, Every it is a string." Actually, every it is a sinusoidal wave, and that’s why we live in a mathematical universe and not any other kind of universe.

Once you have established what existence is made of, what it’s ontology is, you can then know everything else. If you cannot work out what the basic units of ontology are, you will never know what existence is. It will constitute a permanent mystery.

For the pre-Socratic philosophers of ancient Greece, the term archē referred to the original stuff from which the world came to be. Their fundamental task of identifying the archē fell out of favor, or the archē was recast as God, or Will, or the Unconscious, or Cosmic Consciousness, or Matter, or Randomness, or Probability, or whatever.

To render reality rational, the archē must be definable, intelligible, rational and logical. That can be accomplished only if the archē is mathematical. A full analysis, conducted by the Principle of Sufficient Reason and Occam’s razor, and nothing else, reveals that there is only one candidate to serve as the archē, namely the sinusoidal wave. This means that reality is incontestably mathematical and so everything is just one big mathematical puzzle and has an exact mathematical answer. We can know it all. Any other claim renders reality foundationally unintelligible, a permanent unknowable mystery.

Bertrand Russell said, Mathematics takes us still further from what is human, into the region of absolute necessity, to which not only the world, but every possible world, must conform.

God too must conform to mathematics. Therefore, God is mathematics. God is a possible world – a living world of mind – hence must conform to mathematics and be mathematics.

The ontological mathematical religion is known as Illuminism – the religion for the Enlightened Ones. Faith and mysticism are absolutely banished from Illuminism. Illuminism is the religion of pure reason and logic.

Come inside and discover the incredible religious system endorsed by the theological points made by Gödel, a man who even offered a logical proof of the existence of God. The proof of the existence of God is, as it turns out, actually the proof of the existence of mathematics.

If you feel like rejecting ontological mathematics, without of course knowing the first thing about it given that you haven’t studied it, you had better be sure that you are smarter than the likes of Gödel, Hegel, Leibniz, Descartes, Aristotle, Plato and Pythagoras. Well, are you?

There are dumb religions for dumb people. These are the world’s mainstream religions, all of which are untenable and formally falsified.

There is a smart religion for smart people. It’s ontological mathematics. No one can refute it. It is Absolute and infallible – because it is pure math.

    =====

By the same token, there is atheism for dumb people, and also atheism for smart people. The smart atheists – people well-versed in the philosophies of the likes of Schopenhauer, von Hartmann and Nietzsche – could easily migrate to ontological mathematics. The dumb atheists – blind followers of materialism, empiricism and scientism – never could.

To put it another way, atheism based on versions of idealism is so much smarter than atheism based on versions of materialism.

Nietzsche said, … do you want a name for this world? A solution for all of its riddles? A light for you, too, you best-concealed, strongest, most intrepid, most midnightly men? This world is the will to power – and nothing besides! And you yourselves are also this will to power – and nothing besides!

Will to power, active and teleological, is an enormously superior base concept than lifeless, mindless, passive, meaningless, purposeless, pointless matter. Will to power, when properly defined, converts into self-solving ontological mathematics.

Gödel said, Particularly in physics, this development [of philosophy toward skepticism, materialism and positivism] has reached a peak in our time, in that, to a large extent, the possibility of knowledge of the objectivizable states of affairs is denied, and it is asserted that we must be content to predict results of observations. This is really the end of all theoretical science in the usual sense (although this predicting can be completely sufficient for practical purposes such as making television sets or atom bombs).

Gödel agreed with Einstein that something had gone horribly wrong with the scientific worldview and that it had turned against reason, logic and authentic explanation.

Gödel said, Rationalism is connected with Platonism because it is directed to the conceptual aspect rather than toward the [physical] world. … Mathematics has a form of perfection. In mathematics one attains knowledge once and for all. We may expect that the conceptual world is perfect and, furthermore, that the objective reality is beautiful, good and perfect.

    =====

If you want a simple analogy for reality, think of a self-solving Rubik’s cube, and by extension a self-solving God. God is an immaterial mathematical Singularity – a frequency domain of mind – which, at the Big Bang, creates a spacetime domain of matter out of itself by way of ontological Fourier mathematics. Ontological Fourier mathematics, it cannot be stressed enough, is the complete solution of the Cartesian mind-matter problem, linking the unextended domain of frequency (mind) to the extended domain of spacetime (matter).

God alienates himself via spacetime and matter then returns to himself by solving the problem of what he has created. The answer to the universe is zero-entropy, when all matter is returned to mind. The completed Rubik’s cube is the zero-entropy state of the cube. All other states are entropic. The universal game is negentropic. It’s about the process of overcoming entropy. The game ends – the universe ends – when entropy has been reduced to nothing. That is the state of Absolute Knowledge, Absolute Knowing, Absolute Understanding, Absolute Self-Awareness, Absolute Self-Realization, Absolute Power, Absolute Consciousness, Absolute Unity, Absolute Wholeness. That’s the Omega Point, and it serves as the trigger for the Alpha Point, the next Big Bang, the next cycle of the life of God! It’s all in the math, the living math of existence, which is none other than God.

God is existence and all of its operations. God makes the universe from itself, and then the universe brings God to consciousness of itself. Therefore, the universe, so to speak, makes God!

    =====

Hao Wang said, [Gödel] speculated on several traditional topics which have, by a sort of unspoken consensus, been largely abandoned in contemporary philosophy: topics such as the likelihood of an afterlife, the existence of God, and the project of an exact metaphysics – preferably in the form of a monadology. [Gödel] felt his greatest kinship with Leibniz. Gödel told me that he had certain deep convictions regarding mind and matter which he believed are contrary to the commonly accepted views today. Gödel’s program in philosophy is to find an exact theory of metaphysics, presumably in the form of a monadology. He felt, however, that he himself was far from reaching that goal. He did not even know, he said, what the right primitive concepts are. ... Immediately relevant to his grand project would be the independent existence and knowability of the sharp primitive concepts of metaphysics or monadology – so that we can find the governing axioms and see them as true. … The idealistic component of Gödel’s theory is, I believe, to be construed as affirming the primacy of mind and its powers. It is in this sense that he rejected materialism. This is implicit in the very conception of monadology, for the monads are seen as spiritual beings and they constitute the fundamental substances.

It’s time for the intelligentsia to abandon contemporary philosophy – the purest sophistry – and return to the grand tradition of philosophy.

Grand philosophy has returned from the dead. But it is no longer philosophy. It has undergone a wondrous metamorphosis. It is now mathematics, ontological mathematics. Mathematics is that which explains everything, because mathematics is everything.

Mathematics transformed alchemy into modern physics, the astounding subject that has revolutionized the mundane world. But why stop there, with the mundane, the immanent? Mathematics can also do for metaphysics what it did for physics. That means that it can reach, at last, the transcendent order – of God, the soul, the afterlife, and everything affirmed by Gödel but abandoned by the modern world, enslaved by empirical and material science, the science of immanence.

Thanks to monads – the basis units of ontological mathematics, but which are also spiritual beings (souls, if you will) – the whole religious and spiritual order is not just speculative, it’s mathematical fact.

It is rationally and logically impossible for mathematical monads not to be the basis of existence. Gödel intuited this, but he was unable to work out the details. Others, however, succeeded.

Religion is true. Thanks to mathematics.

Spirituality is true. Thanks to mathematics.

Metaphysics is true. Thanks to mathematics.

Science thought that only physics was true (thanks to mathematics). In fact, it’s all true – everything beyond physics. Thanks to mathematics.

Mathematics is reality. Mathematics is the whole shooting match. Mathematics has properties far more powerful and astounding than those of physics. Mathematics can go places that are impossible for physics. Mathematics can exist at zero entropy, at a temperature of absolute zero. In this state, mathematics is friction free, immaterial, outside space and time, and perfectly superconductive. It is a perpetual motion machine – pure energy, existing forever. This energy is of the most special kind. It is absolute frequency (frequency is the precursor of space and time and produces space and time at the Big Bang), and absolute frequency is mental energy … pure thought.

What is a thought, a basis thought? It’s a frequency, a sinusoidal wave. Reality comprises nothing but sinusoidal waves, which is to say basis thought. Reality is just one universal system of thought, mathematical thought. Mathematical thought is what is responsible for space, time, matter, temperature, entropy, friction … everything studied by science. All of science is grounded in mathematics, not in anything else. Mathematics is the Source Code, and the Source Code comes in the form of autonomous living beings called monads (mathematical minds, made of dimensionless sinusoids). These are responsible for everything, via their thoughts, which are mathematical frequencies.

Reality comprises Source Minds, which produce a World, with which they then interact, via avatars (bodies) located in the immanent World, but controlled non-locally by the transcendent monads, via ontological Fourier mathematics, which links frequency domains (minds) to the spacetime domain (the World).

Gödel’s project has been completed. In truth, it was Leibniz’s project. All that had to be done was to find its mathematical key, and that has now been done. Leibniz’s monadology, based on mental atoms, can now replace science, based on material atoms.

The only issue left is how much resistance the believers in matter – the scientists – will put up against the Truth. They will no doubt be as resistant as all people of faith are to logic and reason. Gödel was astonished by their hostility. They made him feel like an outcast. But he was right all along. Will you now stand alongside those honoring his memory and campaigning for the Truth?

    The Razor

Occam’s razor as an ontological system is what existence actually is. That’s identical to the PSR as an ontological system since there is no sufficient reason why existence would not be the simplest system possible.

In order to understand exactly what reality is, you have only one task: to find the unique Occam’s razor/PSR answer. We have already done it. It’s ontological mathematics. End of story.

Ontological mathematics is living mind. Living mind is the substance of reality from which everything is made. Reality is thought. Everything is made from thought. Reality is one cosmic evolving thought. Matter is just a type of thought.

Stephen Hawking said, Even if there is only one possible unified theory, it is just a set of rules and equations. What is it that breathes fire into the equations and makes a universe for them to describe?

The equations are the fire. They are the universe. What else could they be? The equations aren’t things that minds discover. The equations are the minds! The equations are exactly what they define. Euler’s Formula defines waves and these are exactly what basis thoughts are, so Euler’s Formula is the fire of thought. Thoughts are the teleological, striving entities that drive and animate the universe.

The I in I think, therefore I am is simply a monadic mind defined by the generalized Euler Formula. The only activity of a monadic mind is to think. It can’t do anything else. It exists as a thinking being.

Stephen Hawking said, The usual approach of science of constructing a mathematical model cannot answer the questions of why there should be a universe for the model to describe. Why does the universe go to all the bother of existing?

The whole problem with science is that it models (describes) the universe. It does not explain the universe. To model the universe already requires the universe (that which will be modelled). The model doesn’t explain what it is modelling; it simply models it. It’s astounding that Stephen Hawking, one of the world foremost scientists, didn’t even understand that science isn’t in the explanation game. It’s in the game of using models to predict stuff happening in the universe, not to explain why the universe exists. The explanation of existence lies outside science’s paradigm, but not that of ontological mathematics.

    Changing the Game

The most fundamental idea of all – the supreme game changer – is that mathematics has an ontology. Mathematics is what existence actually is, no more and no less. It is the fiber and fabric of existence. This realization is the basis of all enlightenment.

The basis of existence is thought, and thought is mathematics. Until you grasp that, you can never understand reality.

The average human mind just can’t make the leap
