REST OF THE VERBS: SIMPLE PAST (pasado simple del resto de verbos)
1. SIMPLE PAST. AFFIRMATIVE: 1.a. EJEMPLO: FINISH = acabar. FINISH-ED = acabar en pasado NUNCA SE AADE OTRA COSA, NI SIQUIERA HAY CAMBIOS EN HE / SHE / IT Ejemplo: I studied Yo estudiaba-estudi You studied T estudiabas-estudiaste He / she / it studied l, ella, ello estudiaba-estudi We / you / they studied Nosotros-as, vosotros-as, ellos-as estudiaban-estudiaron Reglas ortogrficas de formacin del pasado regular: Verbos que acaban en e muda: slo se aade -d: bake-baked; hope-hoped Verbos que acaban en consonante + y: la y se cambia por i antes de aadir ed:
study-studied; copy-copied
Ejemplo: Verbo BUY (comprar): comprabas) I bought You bought He / she / it bought We / you / they bought La 2 columna de la lista de los verbos es BOUGHT (compraba, Yo compraba-compr T comprabas-compraste l, ella, ello compraba-compr Nosotros-as, vosotros-as, ellos-as compraban-compraron
2. SIMPLE PAST. 2.a. FORMA: Negativo: SUJETO + DIDNT + VERBO EN INFINITIVO + COMPLEMENTOS Interrogativo: DID + SUJETO + VERBO EN INFINITIVO + COMPLEMENTOS + ? Ejemplos: GO AFFIRMATIVE NEGATIVE INTERROGATIVE I went to school yesterday I didnt go to school yesterday Did you go to school yesterday? 3. TIME EXPRESSIONS: Yesterday (morning, afternoon, evening) Last + day/ night/week/month/year/ Monday, May, summer/ night Two days / weeks/months/years + ago
PAST CONTINUOUS
Se usa para hablar de acciones que estaban A MEDIAS en un momento del pasado (I was talking = estaba comiendo) Se suele encontrar en frases: Con pasado simple para referirnos a acciones que quedaron interrumpidas por algn suceso inesperado. o Ejemplo: I was having a shower WHEN the telephone rang = Yo me estaba Juntando dos pasados continuos para hablar de acciones que se desarrollaban simultneamente en el pasado SIN interrumpirse. o Ejemplo: I was having a shower WHILE my dad was reading= Yo me estaba OJO: ESTA REGLA NO FUNCIONA SIEMPRE

FORMA: AFIRMATIVO: SUJETO + HAVE / HAS+ PARTICIPIO* DEL VERBO NEGATIVO: SUJETO + HAVENT / HASNT+ PARTICIPIO* DEL VERBO INTERROGATIVO: HAVE / HAS + SUJETO + PARTICIPIO* DEL VERBO? Ejemplo: go (infinitivo) - went (pasado) gone (participio) AFFIRMATIVE NEGATIVE INTERROGATIVE

IF / UNLESS+ Simple Present, Simple Future (WILL / WONT) If I study, Ill pass the exam Si estudio, aprobar el examen If I dont study, I wont pass the exam Unless I study, Ill fail the exam
3. VARIANTES: El futuro se puede sustituir por un modal: o Can: PODER: If I study, I can pass the exam o May / Might: TAL VEZ: If I study, I may / might pass the exam
IF + Simple Past(*), If I studied, I would pass the exam If I didnt study, I would fail the exam
Con el CASI quiero decir que an queda una diferencia, que es que: El PASADO el verbo to be en 1 persona es I WAS El SUBJUNTIVO del verbo to be en 1 persona es I WERE Sin embargo, con HE, SHE, IT el pasado y el subjuntivo son iguales: HE / SHE / IT WAS o Ejemplo: If I were you, I would give him an opportunity
IF + Past Perfect, Perfect Conditional (WOULD HAVE + Participio) If I had studied, Si hubiera estudiado, habra aprobado el examen I would have passed the exam (el problema es que NO estudi y suspend) If I hadnt studied, Si no hubiera estudiado, habra suspendido el examen I would have failed the exam (pero estudi y aprob)

Ejemplo: Yo debo ingls. NO tiene sentido. La frase sera correcta as: Yo debo estudiar ingls Reglas: 1. Siempre les sigue un infinitivo sin to (I can to play tennis) 2. La interrogacin se hace poniendo (partcula wh- + ) modal + sujeto + verbo + (When could you come?) 4.

S: Wheres the girl that sells the tickets? O: He is a man [] people like at first sight.

En ingls es igual: SUJETO PACIENTE + TO BE (conjugado) + PARTICIPIO + COMPLS 1.

A present is bought to my bother (by me) 2.2.
+ O.D. I buy a present to my brother Pasiva: Sujeto (O.I.) + Verbo pasivo + O.D. (+ by + Complemento agente). My brother is bought a present (by me) mi hermano es comprado un regalo (por m)
Activa: Sujeto + Verbo activo + O.D. + TO + O.I. I buy a present to my brother Pasiva: Sujeto (O.D.) + Verbo pasivo + to + O.I.
