Scoring Guidelines
The scoring process is consistent with the HES rating evaluation for the TRIR data and qualification questionnaire. Acceptable and N/A evaluation shall receive full points. Improvement Needed shall receive no points. Corrective actions may be suggested to a contract firm, even if an acceptable rating is given. Each section is scored by totaling the acceptable and N/A answers and then dividing by the total number of points available in the section. The resulting number is then multiplied by the weighting percentage of the section. For example:
Section Points/Points Available Weighting Score
HES Performance HES Management Fitness for Duty (Skills, Knowledge and Training) Fitness for Duty (Medical and Industrial Hygiene) Equipment and Materials Total score 87 pts.
