1. Objectives: Under this title objectives of the experiment are to be written point wise i) To study the Torque-Speed characteristics of a dc Permanent magnet motor ii) To study the Current-Power Characteristics of a dc Permanent magnet motor iii) . 2. List of equipment Here the major equipment/instruments used in this experiment are to be listed point wise. i) dc motor ii) Magnetic powder brake iii) .. iv) 3. Theoretical background Theories and formulae associated with the experiment are to be written here using own words of the students. ( In the case of a dc permanent magnet motor the flux in the motor is constant, and the power output is directly proportional to the operating speed. The power output is thus related by the following equation: P = T Where P = power output (watt) T = Torque (N-m) = rad/s 4. Description of the experimental setup Under this title sketch of the setup or block diagram of the setup (as appropriate) is to be placed with brief description of the experimental procedure.

5. Data Here sample Table for data has to be supplied which will be filled in during the experiment Table1: Caption of the Table Voltage (E, volt) Current (I, amp) 1 ---2 --Table2: Caption of the Table 4 5 6. Results Here results in the form of graph are to be presented following the guidelines presented in the lab manual. Load (T, N-m) Speed (n, rpm)
