Dear Parents, Welcome to an exciting new year! My name is Debbie Renn and I will be the EAL teacher for Year 3. I am Canadian and am here in Bangkok with my husband and two young children. I am very much looking forward to getting to know the students and being involved in the Year 3 programme. This is my first year back at NIST after having spent 8 years in Zurich with my family at the Inter Community School. I am very happy to be returning to the NIST community and feel extremely excited that my children will be part of NIST as well. Over the years, I have taught in France, Jakarta, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, Zurich and now back in Bangkok. I have been a classroom teacher in the lower Elementary, a counsellor for Pre-K through Y13 as well as working in the Learning Support and EAL departments. Communication with me can be done electronically, so I would ask that you email me at drenn@nist.ac.th should you have an issue that you would like to discuss. The Elemenatry EAL office is located on the top floor of the Elementary building in Rm 3408. I look forward to getting to know your child and supporting them so that they will be increasingly confident and proficient English language users. I also look forward to working with you to ensure that we are doing our best for your child. Kind Regards,

Debbie Renn
