ABOUT CTMS
CTMS is state-of-the-art application software for operating a modern container terminal serving international shipping lines. CTMS is a complex software suite designed to automate the entire operations in a container terminal It makes use of Internet technology for easy access by clients of the terminal and exchange of data files through EDI messaging. The system is capable of automatically managing container handling equipment and personnel, efficiently scheduling tasks and supervising current operational demands. It provides container yard management, paperless document circulation, container tracking and tracing via GPS and data interchange in real-time mode The system is designed using Object Oriented Methodology and is entirely coded in Java programming language to ensure easy maintenance and future enhancements. The system enables companies to reduce the time and costs of container processing.

Yard management

-Automatically search optimal stowage for inbound containers before loading them on assigned means of transport. Load/discharge management

-Quick vessel load using cost-efficient technology considering relevant factors such as container type, weight, destination, status etc. Data input from various sources (central management system, cargo plans and others.) -Position detection system -Monitor CHE and containers move in the yard and provide container status report in real time mode.

Electronic identification

-Verify trailers arrival at a certain destination in the yard. -Reduce trailers downtime waiting in lines; lessen manual input through the RF terminal keyboard when operator checks trailers content. RF equipment

-Support dialogue mode between management system and personnel. -Record on exact beginning and completion time of every task fulfilled by operator.

Creation of customer particulars, vessel particulars, voyage particulars and other details of shipping lines and their agents, as well as other customers of the container terminal Graphical screen to display vessel stowage and yard occupancy Ship planner can use these screens to plan discharge and loading sequences by rubber-banding and drag-n-drop groups of containers between ship and yard Printing of container discharge list, container load list and special container list after shipping planning is done

Creation of import and export container details from Deliver Order and Shipping Order brought to the terminal by forwarding agent Updating of Customs release status for import and export container Capturing of entry and exit of containers at the gate and printing of EIR at exit with inspection details of container Computation of charges for shipping agents and forwarding agents and printing of bills for these customer Printing of operational performance reports for review by container terminal manager
