Photo shows Rahine youths protest against UN,INGOs in Yangon Rakhine youths staged a demonstration against the discrimination of UN and INGOs which look with favour upon Bengalis in northwestern state of Myanmar. About 100 young people took part in the protest held in Yangon at 11:30 am today. UN has a programme of conflict prevention. Instead, their involvement is making the unrest more serious. They should take a very cautious approach to the problem of the biracial area. However, they failed to do so. They showed favour to Bengalis Rohingyas on human development issues and rehabilitation programmes. They did not dig a single well for Rakhine people. They neglected local ethnics who are experiencing the shortage of medicines. They have no income sources. Even these organizations created job opportunities, only few Rakhine people are employed, said Ko Khaing Kyaw Moe who led the protest.

He also said, What I want to emphasize is that they must stop showing discrimination when they come to Myanmar. As our country is a signatory to the United Nations, we cannot set aside it. But I would like to demand that they must be totally fair."
