Learning Objectives (WALT): Understand the importance of e-safety Able to produce an e-safety publication Intended Learning Outcomes (WILF): All must be able to: Collect information (text & image) for E-Safety & Cyber-bullying Most should be able to: Use the plan, text and images to complete the design for your leaflet/fact sheet using Microsoft Publisher Some could: Explore tools available in Microsoft Publisher to produce an attractive publication Keywords: Publications, Leaflet, fact sheet, images, text, font, layout, audience, email, internet, mobile, cyberbullying Reference to cross-curriculum issues (Literacy, Numeracy, Citizenship, PSHE, ECM..): PSHE Entry ( 2.5 mins) Resources Starter (5 mins): Recap: What did we do last lesson? Main ( 45 mins) Teacher led discussion : Task Outline - Assessment You are required to create one of the following publications to inform year 6 students about E-safety and cyber bullying. a) An A4 2-fold leaflet. b) An A3 fact sheet. Discuss which programs could you use? Microsoft Publisher What must it contain? Use name picker to select pupils name. Title, discussion, images, fonts, style, colours, target audience, email, dangers of using internet, mobile safety, cyber bullying. Example of A4 2-fold leaflet Example of A3 fact sheet Teacher instructions1) Open Moodle Arden7 Tech-ICT Lesson 5 E-Safety choose leaflet or fact sheet save into your E-Safety folder. 2) Start finding images / other information. Save them to your e-safety folder. 3) Open E-Safety workbook. Get information from here. 4) Start the design. Plenary ( 5 mins): Ask pupils question: 1. Where are we up to? 2. What do we need to do next lesson? Exit ( 2.5 mins) Differentiation (related to Learning Outcomes) Support for Less Able: Help pupils to perform task of the day by providing design plan for their assessment. G&T: Explore tools available in Microsoft Publisher to produce an attractive publication Special Education Needs: Read through IEP and prepare lessons according to pupils needs.
