I realized that when multiplying it came out to be negative and when dividing it came out to be positive. Although this isn't always the case. When one negative number and positive numbers are multiplied the product is negative. This is the same for dividing. When multiplying and dividing two numbers with the same sign the answer is positive.

Again in these equations , the products are negative and the quotients are positive. If you first start off with the larger number first then multiply the smaller number, the product will be larger. Then if you take the product and multiply it by the smallest number it will equal the old largest number.

One rule when multiplying and dividing positive and negative numbers, the product will either be negative or positive. It will be positive if both numbers are either positive or negative. If one number is negative, the answer will be negative.
